Custom Woodwork That Shapes Beautiful Indoor and Outdoor Living Spaces
Premier Renovations, Inc. builds custom woodwork that turns plain rooms and outdoor spaces into features with real character, built to fit your home exactly.
Craftsmanship That Sets the Tone for Your Whole Home
Custom woodwork is the detail that separates a house that looks finished from one that looks assembled. Trim, molding, mantels, and built-ins carry a design language through every room, and when they're done well, they make the rest of the home feel more intentional.
Premier Renovations, Inc. approaches custom woodwork as part of a larger remodeling company mindset. We look at how a piece fits your floor plan, your storage needs, and the style you're already building toward, whether that's a kitchen renovation, a full home addition, or a shaded corner of your outdoor living space that's begging for built-in seating.
Because we operate as a residential general contractor with in-house finish carpentry, there's no gap between the design conversation and the people swinging hammers. What gets drawn up gets built, with the same crew from measurement to final coat.
Custom woodwork covers a wide range of work, and most projects combine several elements to solve a specific problem in your home. Here's what we regularly build for homeowners across Charlotte and the surrounding towns:
Custom cabinetry and custom cabinet installation for kitchens, bathrooms, and home offices
Custom built-in furniture, including bookshelves, window seats, and entertainment centers
Custom mudrooms with lockers, benches, and hidden storage for shoes and bags
Millwork for outdoor living spaces, such as porch ceilings, built-in bench seating, and pergola trim
Wainscoting, coffered ceilings, crown molding, and custom baseboard
Mantels, shelving, and accent walls that anchor a room's design
Why Homeowners Choose Us
Woodwork Built by a Team That Understands the Whole House
Custom woodwork only looks right when it's built by people who understand how a home fits together, not just how to cut a straight line. Here's what homeowners get when they work with our team.
One Team, Start to Finish
We handle design and finish carpentry under one roof, so your custom cabinetry, built-ins, or mudroom project moves forward without waiting on a separate subcontractor to catch up.
Measured for Your Exact Space
Every piece is built to the true dimensions of your room or patio, not adjusted from a pre-made size. That's how we avoid gaps, uneven trim lines, and furniture that almost fits.
Materials That Match Your Climate
Charlotte's humidity and seasonal swings are hard on wood. We select species, finishes, and sealants suited to indoor rooms and to outdoor living spaces, so your investment holds up for years, not seasons.
How It Works
Our Custom Woodwork Process
Every project follows the same clear path, from your first conversation to the final walkthrough. Here's what to expect.
01
Renovation Consultation
We visit your home, walk the space, and talk through what's not working and what you're hoping to gain, whether that's more storage, a finished mudroom, or built-in seating for your patio.
02
Design and Material Selection
We sketch the piece to scale, review wood species and finish options, and confirm dimensions against your actual room or outdoor space before anything gets built.
03
Fabrication and Installation
Our carpenters build and install the woodwork on-site or in our shop, depending on the project, with careful attention to fit, level lines, and clean joinery.
04
Final Walkthrough
We inspect every seam, drawer, and finish coat with you before we consider the project done, and we won't leave until the piece looks and functions the way we promised.

Knowledgeable, professional and dependable.
Scott and his crew are knowledgeable and professional. We've done several home improvement projects with them throughout the years. We started with a small job of opening a wall and since then they have updated our kitchen, guest bathrooms and have completed a major bathroom renovation. We're proud to be repeat customers.

I contacted Premier Renovations to renovate my kitchen and two bathrooms. My parents would be moving upstairs into the space so it needed to be accommodating to their needs now and going forward. Scott and his team did an amazing job creating a comfortable and safe place for my parents while also staying within our budget. They have moved in and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Premier Renovations has been absolutely awesome to work with, helping us completely renovate our entire home out of the 1990s. The ideas they helped us come up with to make sure we were getting our dream home have been spot on, and we've been very happy with the overall end product. We'd highly recommend Premier to anyone considering a major renovation.

Premier just completed a major home renovation for us, new kitchen, new master bathroom and new hardwood floors. Premier's workforce was amazing and they cleaned up the jobsite everyday. The contractors they bring in to do the electrical, the flooring, the painting, and the tile work - they are all fabulous as well. We could trust them all and we would often leave during the day while they were working. Great job, will definitely use them again - here are some photos of the finished renovation of the kitchen and bathroom.

Just finished remodel of our master bath. Everyone at Premier was flexible and easy to work with throughout the process. Communication was great and the pricing was very fair. Everyone who came out from the demolition to the plumber, electrician and clean up were friendly and professional. They kept everything moving along and limited any disruption in our lives. We could not be happier with the finished product.

From start to finish, Premier Renovations was amazing to work with; I have recommended them to several friends! The entire team was very respectful, hard working and it was apparent how much they all enjoy their jobs which was nice to see! I really felt they go above and beyond to ensure the customer was pleased with the end product. I was beyond impressed with their communication throughout the entire project; whether it was to let me know the day to day schedule, or promptly responding to any inquiries. I can’t recommend them enough and plan to use them on future projects!

Questions we hear often
Frequently asked questions
The questions homeowners ask us most. If yours is not here, call the shop and ask.
Do you handle full home renovations or just single rooms?
Both. We're set up as a whole home remodeling contractor, so we can manage a full house transformation from the framing stage through final finish work, or we can focus on one space like a kitchen or bathroom.
What makes you different from a typical kitchen renovation contractor?
Our carpenters build custom cabinetry and millwork in-house, so your custom kitchen renovation isn't limited to stock cabinet lines. We design and build cabinetry to fit your exact layout and storage needs.
Do you handle permitting for structural work like additions?
Yes. We handle permitting and structural work for home additions and room expansions alongside our finish carpentry and remodeling services.
How does a renovation consultation work?
We start with an on-site walkthrough to understand your goals, existing layout, and budget. From there, we put together a scope of work and timeline before any contract is signed, so you know what to expect before committing.
