Custom Woodwork and Home Remodeling in Cornelius, NC
Premier Renovations, Inc. brings custom woodwork and thoughtful renovations to homeowners across Cornelius, NC, from lakeside cottages to newer builds near Jetton Park.
Custom Woodwork Built for Lake Norman Living in Cornelius
Cornelius sits right on Lake Norman, and that shapes what homeowners here actually need from a renovation. Boat gear, wet towels, and muddy shoes from Robbins Park or Ramsey Creek Park mean a lot of local families come to us asking about custom mudrooms before anything else, wanting a real landing zone that keeps the rest of the house clean.
Many of the homes around The Peninsula, Antiquity, and the older streets near downtown Cornelius were built for a different era of entertaining. We regularly open up galley kitchens, add custom cabinetry built to fit oddly shaped walls, and reconfigure primary bathrooms with custom bathroom renovations that feel closer to what buyers expect from a Lake Norman home today.
Whether you're updating a lake house you've owned for twenty years or renovating a newer build off Catawba Avenue or near Bailey Road, our team designs around the way you'll actually use the space, not just what looks good in a photo.
Why Cornelius chooses us
A Remodeling Partner Cornelius Homeowners Trust
Cornelius homeowners often juggle full-time lake living with weekday work schedules, which means they want a contractor who communicates clearly and shows up when promised. Here's what keeps our clients in Cornelius coming back for their next project.
Craftsmanship built for lake homes
From humidity-resistant finishes to custom built-in furniture that stands up to daily wear, we build with the realities of lakeside living in mind.
One team, start to finish
We handle design, permitting, and construction ourselves as one dedicated team, instead of juggling subcontractors who don't talk to each other.
Local scheduling that respects your time
We know Cornelius traffic patterns around I-77 and Westmoreland Athletic Complex events, and we plan crews and deliveries so your project stays on track.

Knowledgeable, professional and dependable.
Scott and his crew are knowledgeable and professional. We've done several home improvement projects with them throughout the years. We started with a small job of opening a wall and since then they have updated our kitchen, guest bathrooms and have completed a major bathroom renovation. We're proud to be repeat customers.

I contacted Premier Renovations to renovate my kitchen and two bathrooms. My parents would be moving upstairs into the space so it needed to be accommodating to their needs now and going forward. Scott and his team did an amazing job creating a comfortable and safe place for my parents while also staying within our budget. They have moved in and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

The ideas they helped us come up with to make sure we were getting our dream home have been spot on, and we've been very happy with the overall end product. We'd highly recommend Premier to anyone considering a major renovation.

Premier just completed a major home renovation for us, new kitchen, new master bathroom and new hardwood floors. Premier's workforce was amazing and they cleaned up the jobsite everyday. The contractors they bring in to do the electrical, the flooring, the painting, and the tile work - they are all fabulous as well. We could trust them all and we would often leave during the day while they were working. Great job, will definitely use them again - here are some photos of the finished renovation of the kitchen and bathroom.

Just finished remodel of our master bath. Everyone at Premier was flexible and easy to work with throughout the process. Communication was great and the pricing was very fair. Everyone who came out from the demolition to the plumber, electrician and clean up were friendly and professional. They kept everything moving along and limited any disruption in our lives. We could not be happier with the finished product.

From start to finish, Premier Renovations was amazing to work with; I have recommended them to several friends! The entire team was very respectful, hard working and it was apparent how much they all enjoy their jobs which was nice to see! I really felt they go above and beyond to ensure the customer was pleased with the end product. I was beyond impressed with their communication throughout the entire project; whether it was to let me know the day to day schedule, or promptly responding to any inquiries. I can’t recommend them enough and plan to use them on future projects!

We just completed a large scale renovation with Premier Renovations and are extremely pleased. Scott and his crew did superb and timely job on our new kitchen, laundry room, butler's pantry, and outdoor patio. Scott's communication and problem solving skills rank him high as our contractor; in addition, he is a pleasure to work with. We are already planning phase 2 and will utilize Premier once again.
Do you handle full home renovations or just single rooms?
Both. We're set up as a whole home remodeling contractor, so we can manage a full house transformation from the framing stage through final finish work, or we can focus on one space like a kitchen or bathroom.
What makes you different from a typical kitchen renovation contractor?
Our carpenters build custom cabinetry and millwork in-house, so your custom kitchen renovation isn't limited to stock cabinet lines. We design and build cabinetry to fit your exact layout and storage needs.
Do you handle permitting for structural work like additions?
Yes. We handle permitting and structural work for home additions and room expansions alongside our finish carpentry and remodeling services.
How does a renovation consultation work?
We start with an on-site walkthrough to understand your goals, existing layout, and budget. From there, we put together a scope of work and timeline before any contract is signed, so you know what to expect before committing.
